What we believe at Christ Church Bayston Hill
We are a Church of England Church with a welcoming and evangelical outlook.
- We believe in One God Father, Son and Holy Spirit
- We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word for us today guiding us into God’s will
- The Church is the Bride of Christ and should demonstrate His love
We believe that the good news of Jesus Christ is for all people to hear, know and understand.
The Bible: We believe the Bible to be the fully inspired and word of God and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
The Trinity: We believe in One God Father, Son and Holy Spirit Sovereign in Creation and Redemption.
Jesus Christ: We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His real and complete humanity, His sinless life, His authoritative teaching, His sacrifice on the Cross for all our sins, His bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father interceding for us, and in His second advent return to judge all mankind and receive His Church.
The Holy Spirit: We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son. He convicts us of our sin, leads us to repentance and guides us into Holy living demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit. Through the baptism in the Holy Spirit we are empowered with His gifts for the ministry of the Church, its worship, evangelism and service.
Salvation: We believe in the necessity faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which we are pardoned and accepted as righteous in God’s sight - by the Grace of God.
The Church: We believe in the spiritual unity, the priesthood of all believers in Christ and the ‘all Church members ministry’ drawing on the gifts of each member of the Church.
The Commission: We believe that the gospel embraces the needs of the whole man and that the Church is therefore commissioned to preach the gospel to the world and to fulfil a ministry of healing and deliverance to the spiritual and physical, body and mind, needs of mankind.
